In an earlier Blog (see here), we reported that an Australian employee had been awarded workers' compensation for injuries she suffered when engaged in what was described as a "vigorous" bout of “non-sleeping” with an acquaintance she met on a business trip. The amorous couple managed to rip a light fitting from its fixtures, resulting in the woman sustaining facial injuries.

The case has been wending its way through the Australian judicial system and regrettably, on appeal, the award of compensation has now been overruled.
