Significant penalties can be imposed on employers that breach the GDPR, including fines of up to €20 million or 4% of annual worldwide turnover, whichever is the greater.
Employers need to consider how the GDPR will impact upon them and their businesses and in particular, whether the necessary consents and procedures are in place.
